The best possible place to be in Namibia's water-rich north-east is on the Zambezi Queen moored at King's Den overlooking Kasikili Island, stamping ground of elephant, buffalo and hippo.

From here, you have access to two of Southern Africa's greatest tourist destinations:
Botswana's Chobe Game Reserve and Zimbabwe's Victoria Falls.

A 3 hour boat ride on the Chobe river within the Chobe National Park, where you can see hippos, crocodiles, elephants and buffaloes. Carmine bee-eaters can be seen at the breeding colony. Also hear the call of the Fish Eagle and look out for some of the 420 recorded bird species in the area.

Day tours to the Chobe National Park and Victoria Falls can be arranged

An interesting fact is that the Chobe River sometimes flows backwards - and sometimes forward, depending whether it gets fed from the Kwando and Linyanti Rivers or from the Zambezi River.
