The camp is built around a u-shaped courtyard and is situated at the foot of beautiful dolerite hills. Mountain Camp is an ideal starting point for a visit to the Fish River Canyon and is perfect for the more adventurous traveller, group, a family or a couple. There's no need to miss out on homely meals anymore; with an elegant little kitchen, you can whip up a hearty Sunday breakfast before a fun day of hiking. The communal lounge area is cool and airy, the perfect spot to mingle and make new friends. The outdoor barbecue area is the perfect spot to spend a blissful day. We'll take good care of you - Unpretentious Cañon Mountain Camp is just the place for the more adventurous, self-catering guest. Even groups will find an undisturbed and secluded spot for themselves. Located at the foot of picturesque dolerite hills, eight en-suite rooms are grouped around a u-shaped courtyard. Apart from a fully equipped kitchen and lounge there is also a lapa (a roofed-over terrace) and a barbecue area. All guests staying at the Canon Mountain Camp can participate in any of the activities offered, such as horse riding, sundowner drives and Canyon flights. Those who grow tired of cooking for themselves are of course always welcome to dine at the Cañon Lodge restaurant, just 6 km away. The swimming pool and activities offered at the lodge are also available to guests at Mountain Camps.
