Auob Lodge, a green oasis in the Kalahari landscape, is situated
on the banks of the dry Auob River, near the small town of Gochas.
The Lodge has 21 twin and 4 family rooms, all en-suite, 2 family
units, restaurant, lapa, and a TV lounge with a fireplace for chilly
winter evenings. We also offer 17 camping sites.
The red dunes are in strong contrast to the white calcareous rocks
of the valley formed by the Auob River. In an area of 8000ha around
the lodge, various antelope, smaller mammals and birds can be seen.
The plants have adapted to the harsh Kalahari conditions. Enjoy
the peaceful atmosphere at the Swimming Pool or discover the surrounding
area on foot or horseback.
Auob Lodge is the ideal first night stop-over on your tour to the
south. Beautiful Kalahari landscape en route to Quiver tree forest
and Keetmanshoop.
