Small town Omaruru is located 50 km from town Karibib and 230 km from Windhoek, the capital of the country. Set in the heart of game-farm area the town is surrounded by array of mountains with the most prominent, the Oruwe, located southeast of town. It has been passed down to us, from the generations before. This is the purpose of Team Schönfeld, perfecting our art and our passion. We call it the science of hunting, it is our experience and love of the sport that makes us one of the best.

The Schönfeld Castle overlooks the vast open spaces of the privately owned Schönfeld game sanctuary with it's 27 000 acre territory.
The von Seydlitz family settled here in 1913 to lay the foundations of this extraordinary family estate with the prominent peaks of the Leopard Mountain in the middle of unspoiled African savannah.
The beautiful main farmstead was built in 1929. With its towers and arches it has a lovely castle-like appearance.

See rare and endangered animal species like the black rhino, roan and sable antelope, mountain Hartmanns zebra, the tiny Damara dik-dik and rare bird species like Monteiro's hornbill, Rueppell's parrot and the black eagle with nesting sites on the cliffs of the Leopard Mountain.
