Welcome to Ombo Rest Camp
Ombo Rest Camp is situated approximately 12 kms North of Okahandja on the Hochfeld Road. This unique environment is home to a variety of animal and bird species and they can all be viewed at our waterhole accompanied by a beautiful sunset.
Ombo Rest Camp provides the ideal midway stopover, whilst allowing our guests to experience a relaxing and peaceful stay and for families, a child-friendly environment. Self-catering Bungalow's with fully equipped kitchen, with a braai-area in front of the bungalow. (Family and Bungalow's for two people as well).
Bungalow's with the Bed and Breakfast option, where dinner is served on request. All bungalow's are equipped with in-suite bathroom, air-condition and wild animals can be viewed at our waterhole.
Backpacker rooms at our campsite all equipped with two single beds. Bathrooms can be used at our campsite which are about 5m away from the rooms. All the facilities at our campsite can be used by our guests who stay at our backpacker rooms.
Our campsite does offer power point, shade, bray-areas, lawn, light at night, hot showers, wash room and a boma for larger groups. Our farm stall does sell firewood, ice, bray-packs and other goods as well.
We have a A-la-Carte Restaurant opened daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner on request. We offer a great variety on meals to choose from for all sort of taste. (Even ostrich and crocodile dishes, oryx steak and our famous Namibian "Omajovas" wild mushrooms that grow in the bush.
Activities that Ombo Rest Camp offers: Our famous ostrich and crocodile tour. Our guests are able to touch and feed our ostriches during the tour, as they are all hand brought-up. See different land turtles of Namibia. Meet Grieta our ward hog and Liesie our Nile Crocodile.
Hiking-trail where great variety of birds are able to be viewed and learn more about our trees here in Namibia (as they are name tagged) Wild animals that can be viewed at our waterhole are our ostriches, springbuck, waterbuck, giraffes and a great variety of bird live in our surroundings.
Our family restaurant serves an A-La-Carte menu, meat
dishes, vegetarian dishes, various salads, seafood and for the Namibian
taste, ostrich meat and eggs. We also offer crocodile meat, Omajovas and
freshly baked caked every day.When the road becomes too long, we offer overnight
accommodation.
Come and visit us for a tour to see the ostriches and crocodiles. Even for a short stopover/visit you can enjoy our ostrich and crocodile tour, view our two warthogs and turtles. Afterwards you can relax at our restaurant and enjoy one of our freshly prepared meals from our menu.

A 50% deposit is required to hold your reservation with balance payable 10 weeks before your travel date. Bank transfer, credit and debit cards accepted for pre-bookings. Paypal available on request.
