Guest Farm Ghaub was once considered one of Namibias
best kept secrets. A gem among jewels Ghaub has now established
itself as one of the leading affordable family lodges in Northern
Namibia.
Founded in1895 as a Mission Station, Ghaub has remarkable historic
value.
The original buildings were meticulously renovated and additional
buildings were erected in the same style.
The historic character has thus been retained.
Ghaub, nestled in the Otavi Mountains, was built as a mission station
in 1895.
In 1999 Ghaub was transformed into a guest farm which combines modern
comforts with a historical ambience.
Ghaub Guestfarm Accommodation
Dinner is served in the dining room or (weather permitting) outside,
accompanied by the sounds of a burning fire and the African night.
Accommodation: The original farmhouse as well as the homestead were
renovated and 2 further buildings were erected in the same style,
the historic character has thus been retained.
All 10 twin rooms were tastefully refurbished with wonderful wooden
and cane furniture and decorated with pictures from the early days.
They all have en-suite bathrooms and offer a magnificent view of
the surroundings from the verandah.
A short walk away is the swimming pool, and the hide.

Location
Ghaub is located in the Otavi mountains, 410 km north of Windhoek,
(25 km from B1 between Otavi and Tsumeb). Ghaub can also be reached
via a very scenic route, the D2863 turning off from the B8 between
Otavi and Grootfontein at Kombat.
In the peaceful early mornings and tranquil late afternoons, visitors
have the possibility of watching game, undisturbed by human presence,
at a nearby waterhole.
