Waterberg was the site of one of the major turning points in Namibia's History. It was here, on the foothills, that the Herero people lost their last and greatest battle against the German Colonial forces at the beginning of the century. Wabi Game Lodge, set on a privately owned reserve, (in a malaria free area) is nestled at the edge of a dry riverbed, embedded with Camelthorn trees.

It is a private lodge in the Waterberg region, and has the unusual attraction of offering its guests guided game drives and hiking on a plateau.

This leading International lodge is situated in the heart of Namibia. Our Ranch is located on the impressive Waterberg Plateau and inhabits rare species like White Rhino, Sable, Nyala, Water Buffalo, Hippo, Roan, Red Lechwe and many more that roam the wilderness.

The Lodge is caressed by cascading foliage and nurturing trees that provide a haven for you to retreat to after the days activities.
Whilst you relax at the pool, be engulfed by the landscape that appears to extend into infinity and morph into a fiery pageant as the sun bids the day farewell.

Wabi Lodge Accommodation
Accommodation is in 8 cottages, each with an en-suite bathroom, bedroom, living room and a porch. There are also 2 luxury units, independent of the bungalows, sited on the other side of the garden.

Up-close and personnel with the White Rhino, Hippo, Sable, Roan, Nyala, Leopard & Cheetah and lot's of species more. Observe in silence the Wildlife while venturing through WABI's bush - savannas.

Extended hiking tours
on and around the Waterberg Plato at WABI (more than 70 km2 on the Waterberg Plato). Therefore our lodge is the only one in the Waterberg region, which can offer its guests guided hiking tours on the Waterberg Plateau.

Night gamedrives with spotlight.
Experience Adventure Africa by night! It is possible to spot Porcupine, Antbear, Pangolin, Honey badger, Caracal, Genet cat, Brown Hyena, Cheetah and Leopard.

Sundowner at Hippolake
with a romantic fire. Be inspired by the sights & sounds of the African sunset, as the day bids farewell. Mountain drives on the Waterberg Plato at WABI.

Location
From the International Airport:
B6 travel to Windhoek. You will then go on the B1 direction Okahandja / Otjiwarongo.
You will reach a turnoff Waterberg/Okakarara on the C22, after traveling about 41 km you will then reach the D2512, travel for a further 54 km and you will see our signboard to the Lodge.
