Twyfelfontein, officially known as Ui-Ais (Damara/Nama: jumping waterhole), is a site of ancient rock engravings in the Kunene Region of north-western Namibia.
It consists of a spring in a valley flanked by the slopes of a sandstone table mountain that receives very little rainfall and has a wide range of diurnal temperatures. Mowani Mountain Camp is distinguished by its thatched dome-shaped structures, a mirror-image of the granite boulders amongst which they are built.
Mowani is taken from the word M'Wane, meaning 'Place of God', indicating
a high level of peace and tranquility.

Nestling among rugged boulders at a high elevation, affording panoramic views over the pristine surroundings, the camp creates the impression of an African village. Great care has been taken with the design of the recreational areas.
A pool with deck is lodged between boulders, while the Boma of Mowani marks a special area for sundowners and campfire discussions.
The luxury-tents are elegantly decorated with furnishings especially designed
for convenience and comfort. All accommodation includes a guided nature
walk, transfer from and to the Twyfelfontein airstrip and the conservancy
levy.
Twin-bedded, tented accommodation with en-suite facilities. Some of the tents include outdoor bathroom facilities. View tents face west, offering a distant view, while standard tents face east or north-east, overlooking a valley.
Double-bedded, thatched rondavel accommodation, featuring partly canvas walls, en-suite facilities, and west-facing views. Perfect for guests seeking comfort with a touch of nature.
A luxury thatched suite designed for ultimate privacy and comfort, complete with butler service. Guests enjoy a private deck, lounge, and exclusive dining and bar facilities. The suite features a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a bush bath and shower with a view, a laundry service, and a minibar.
Camping accommodation is available, offering an authentic outdoor experience. Children aged 7 and under stay for free, while older children are charged the full rate. Unoccupied camp sites will be released by 17:00 for other campers if necessary. Firewood and water are provided.
Damaraland - Located between the Ugab and Huab Rivers in the Twyfelfontein Conservancy. The camp is approximately 130 km from Uis, 130 km east of Khorixas, and 15 km south of Twyfelfontein.
